For every decision, the purpose is what matters most.
The goal of investing is to buy low and sell high, but if your objective is to lock in something else, you might not mind paying a higher price.
Take real estate, for example: some are willing to buy at a premium because they value the neighbors, while others buy low with the intention of flipping it later for a profit.
Your purpose determines the level of effort and cost you're willing to invest.
