Office Auto-Save Trick

Here’s a tip for auto-saving (I’m not sure if it actually works as advertised) because I’m used to hitting Save manually.
First, grab a OneDrive account. Link your Office apps and sign in so that file storage defaults to OneDrive—meaning your files live there by default, which gives you cloud auto-save.
That indirectly covers Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac: as long as everyone has OneDrive installed and set as the default storage, you don’t need Office 365. A one-time purchase of the 2016 version or later for just a十几 bucks is enough.
In general, the free 5 GB on OneDrive handles most office work fine. If you’re low on space, just clear the cache and old versions—that usually does the trick. If you still need more, you can upgrade to a permanent 15 GB plan for free, which should easily cover your needs, unless you’re hoarding pirated movies… (Search Taobao for “OneDrive 15 GB lifetime” and there are plenty of options.) Same goes for OneNote and the tag feature in Windows: auto-sync your notes, so you shouldn’t run into file-loss issues again. Microsoft’s whole ecosystem really is a treat.)
