The founder originally worked as a full-time lawyer while running a YouTube channel on the side, sharing his own original fitness apparel designs and operating an online store to sell them.

He started by selling his original designs, but soon noticed others using them without permission, so he frequently pursued legal action and claims for damages. Through this process he met other creators and began sponsoring them with clothing in exchange for exposure. His YouTube channel and collaborations with those creators drove significant subscribers to his newsletter, which eventually became the primary driver of pure sales.

He later expanded into several new categories: face masks during the pandemic, meal replacement products for fitness enthusiasts, among others. He mainly promoted discounts and handled customer inquiries through his newsletter.

His reflections:

Don't count on YouTube to sell products directly, but do count on YouTube to generate exposure that brings in users.

Never overlook the power of sincere apologies and discount offers to retain customers and generate orders.
