Running Kids’ Interest Classes: Earn Over $10K Monthly

Rumors aren't always true:

Two people I ran into had stories to tell. One said they started a weekend painting class at their home — two days a week, 2,000 yuan per kid per month, usually 7 or 8 kids, with their husband splitting childcare duties.

The other said their kid was参加 a hosting competition or something, and a judge privately praised the child's talent and invited them to join a small group class — 4,000 yuan a month for 10 lessons, eight kids per class. They promised the child would win awards at events, largely because the judge works for a TV station and other event organizers tend to give them some leeway.

After the classes wrapped up, the judge would reach out privately recommending services that offered 500–1,000 yuan in kickbacks. As long as the child wasn't doing too poorly and the praise was consistent, word of mouth spread fast.

These days, every kid is talented — talented at spending money.
