Legal Disputes and Arbitration Aren’t as Hard as You Think
According to the author, it’s actually pretty straightforward:
1. Most cases can be handled entirely through the court’s online portal—file everything digitally, attend hearings online, and only return to the courthouse in person for the final signature to close the case. (Note that the app is currently Android-only and supports video hearings.)
2. If you know the court may get involved, start recording phone conversations with the other party and save chat screenshots as evidence. You can even steer the conversation to elicit statements that work in your favor.
3. For disputes involving property or money, you can combine a request for enforcement of the judgment with a petition to blacklist the other party as a dishonest judgment debtor—which usually stops them from dragging things out.
