Since 2017, the commissions earned from BandwagonHost every month have been more than enough to cover all the expenses of the promotion websites and domains, with plenty left over.
Since 2017, I’ve basically been able to run a bunch of VPSs for almost free while earning dollars passively. To break it down, over these roughly five years since 2017, I’ve withdrawn about $36,332.99 in commissions from BandwagonHost. At the current exchange rate, that’s around 245,000 RMB—averaging about ¥49,000 a year in passive income.
The key advantage was starting early. There wasn’t heavy censorship blocking the site, so I could build up domain authority. I also wasn’t stingy about spending on paid keyword ads, and the products I promoted were in their growth phase, offering great value for money and strong conversion rates. Now, income has dropped because the products no longer offer good value, and most of those advantages have faded.
